What is SoundScape?
SoundScape is Ottawa’s new immersive music and arts festival, bringing Plaza Bridge to life through live music, installation art and immersive design.SoundScape features three live events on August 27, September 12 and September 26, bringing together live musical performances and immersive design beneath Plaza Bridge. Each evening features a different lineup and experience.
What happens during each live event?
Each event will feature a unique combination of live performances and immersive artistic experiences. For more details, check out each event page:Aug. 26Sept. 12Sept. 26
What’s happening between live event nights?
Between live events, Plaza Bridge comes to life through a free ambient art installation featuring projection mapping, visuals and sound. The installation will generally be open from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m on most nights throughout the festival. Please note that the ambient installation will be closed on August 28th, September 11th, 13th and 25th, as well as on the three Live Event days.
Is the festival family-friendly?
Visitors of all ages are welcome to join us at SoundScape. We recommend checking the details of each event in advance to make sure it is suitable for your child.Non-alcoholic drink options will be available at the festival. Please note that there are no changing rooms at the venue, but changing rooms are available at the NAC.
Will there be food and drinks?
Yes. Beer, cider, wine, cocktails, soft drinks and light snacks will be available for purchase on-site, with beverages provided in partnership with Dominion City, Bar Lupulus and Before and After.
Can I bring in my own food and drinks?
Visitors may bring their own water, but no other food or drinks may be brought into the festival.Reusable water bottles are permitted, but for security reasons, they must be made of clear plastic.
